I have long narrow feet and went one size down according to the rock and run shoe chart and the fit is ideal tight at first but it has settled to the right size nicely. The shoe is an aggressive shoe but not excessively so. for me it is a good all-rounder boulder shoe that edges fantastically, has good support but still gives plenty of feedback from the rock. great on my local polished limestone crags.
I’ve been using the Tarifas for about a month now, on both rock and plastic, routes and bouldering, and have been delighted with them in all settings. They offer a seemingly perfect balance of precise edging, effective smearing and almost out the box comfort. I’m a woman with fairly narrow feet, but can imagine they’d stretch to suit wider feet too. Highly recommended.
Finding the right climbing shoes that offered a combination of relative comfort, good fit and performance I found to be a bit of an ordeal. I wanted a change from my previous shoe - the Boreal Silex - and after lots of searching was very relieved to discover Tenaya. They tick every box for me. I compared the Tarifa and the Masai and decided on the Tarifa as I felt they fitted just a tad bit better. Rock + Run delivered on time and I would order from them again.
