Perfect for prolonged use in the mountains, the La Sportiva TX4 is a sturdy approach shoe designed so you can cover technical terrain in comfort. From rocky scrambles, easy climbs, via ferrata and muddy approaches, the TX4 will serve you well.

Going into more detail the La Sportiva TX4 are built on a technical approach shaped last, providing plenty of support with a great fit, all encased with leather uppers and a grippy sole.

The hard wearing leather uppers are extra protected with an all-round rand, providing the shoes with plenty of protection against rocks and vegetation, dramatically increasing the lifespan of the shoes. The lacing system, inspired by climbing shoes, really pulls the shoe around your foot, so you have total confidence on the how the shoe keeps to your foot on uneven ground.

The grippy sole has a smooth 'climbing zone' at the toe taking inspiration from rock climbing shoe technology to provide maximum rubber contact when standing on small edges. The rear of the sole features the La Sportiva 'Impact Brake System' which basically puts as many lugs as possible in a small area to absorb impact, but arranged in such a way that there are plenty of sides to the lugs to act as a brake, giving better traction on rough ground. The sole is made from Vibram Mega-Grip a proven winner across a range of approach shoes, providing a great balance of stickiness and durability.

The TX4 are a key part of the La Sportiva Approach Shoe range, and are a serious consideration for those looking for a robust technical approach shoe for long days in the mountains.

These shoes are fantastic

I have had these for three weeks and the last two I have been living in them whilst in Iceland, on wet or dry rock the grip is the best I have ever had from any approach shoe including 5.10 They are super comfortable from the time you put them on and they only get better as you use them. I'd buy another pair tomorrow if I had the spare cash!

Doing the job nicely...

Decent shoes these. I suffer to a degree with plantar fasciitis, so was looking for something that would support that. A friend recommended these shoes. I use them pretty much every day walking in the Chilterns...that experience prompted me to buy the boot version for the mountains. The shoes (and boots) are grippy and comfortable from the off.

Class

Shoes came very quickly and in good condition. Shoes themselves are sturdy, comfortable and decent for the price.

Excellent approach shoe

The are fantastic. I have tried other approach shoes but this is my third pair of these - comfortable and tough.
