The Moon Warrior is a heavy duty, durable taco style bouldering mat, designed for high performance and dedicated boulderers.
Reengineered many times over its long life span, the Warrior has constantly remained one of the most popular crash pads on the market. From the first incarnation right through to this latest version, the Warrior has been at the forefront of pad innovation; from the reverse fold design (meaning the dirty side is away from your back in carry mode) to the triple function strap cover, this pad has always set trends rather than following them.
A classic 'standard' sized pad the Warrior uses the highest quality closed-cell and open-cell foams bonded together into a single unit. This is encased in an ultra hardwearing ballistic nylon fabric cover, itself adorned with four closure straps each incorporating a lightweight aluminium buckle. The carry harness is comfortable and well fitting, featuring ventilate padded shoulder straps and a belt. All Moon pads feature the aforementioned “reverse fold” system, folding taco style to provide a surface with no creases and with the landing surface folding to the outside. In this “reverse fold,” the up side with the firm foam also has the carry straps. When you shoulder your MOON pad after using it over muddy ground, the lower (dirty) surface of the pad folds in, saving your clothes and your car seats from that mud you’ve been throwing it in all day long.
On the landing surface a clever flap covers the shoulder straps so you won’t trip on them, but it also keeps the carry area free of dirt, even if the pad is flipped over. Neatly, the same flap turns back down and around, exposing the straps while wrapping the lower end of the pad to secure your gear in carry mode.
Overall I was happy with the pad and time of delivery......I was however desperately disappointed, verging on angry that it wasn't delivered by a ***** Greg Capman riding ***** on rudolf wearing only a red nose and screaming "the sit start to Hacienda supersedes the stand"!!!!!!!!
Was taken out on Dartmoor yesterday and it was awesome.
Carrying the pad on buses was a faff, but their feautures are very clever and neat.
It was a good landing from high heights and overall awesome, I do recommend!!!
