Quality where it matters

I bought this petzl lanyard based on instruction from a climbing instructor friend who told me ‘if you are putting your trust in something make sure you buy a trusted brand . I used it to climb el ponoch in Spain and was reassured with the build quality of the item throughout the climb , giving me that essential confidence on my first via Ferrata . Buy it and be a confident climber !

A Decent Piece of Kit

For the past several years I'd ment to buy a VF lanyand, but always ended up hiring a set, so I have used many different types. You all know the basics, attach lanyard to harness, attach biners to wire, move on job done. These are fairly lightweight and I wasn't conscious of carrying excess weight. They connect by threading the loop onto your harness and you're ready to go. No possible schoolboy safety errors, it's either attached or it's not. The two lanyard arms appear to be very robust and are well elasticated. The real beauty of this set are the carabiners. They are a sensible size and they are operated by a slide down lock for the gate. It's probably just a 10mm slide with a single finger to release the gate. So much quicker and easier than screwgate. Oddly enough I didn't try the effectivness of the arrester by falling off the face .... I would suggest the quality of the build would inspire confidence for anyone wishing to try VF. Very satisfied having this as part of my kit.
