The Petzl Summit is a lightweight, premium grade ice tool for classic mountaineering.
Providing an excellent balance between price and performance, the Petzl Summit offers good anchoring performance with both the head and the spike. The axe is curved to offer necessary clearance for steep ice, and it can be used in piolet-canne or piolet-rampe mode as well as in piolet-traction mode on short, steep sections.
