The Scarpa Crux is a lightweight yet sturdy approach shoe with outstanding all-round usability.

The third incarnation of the now classic Scarpa Crux sees some fresh styling tweaks to the upper, including a lighter and more sculpted toe rand, cleaner aesthetics and revised lace detailing. The Vibram® vertical sole unit has been significantly enhanced with the use of the Megagrip compound, ensuring the best grip in all conditions from dry rock to wet grassy descents, and making it perfect for technical scrambles. The down to the toe lacing allows for the fit to be adjusted for precision, just like a rock climbing shoe and the traditional suede upper gives a tailored and comfortable fit, with a full mesh tongue for increased breathability in hot weather.

    Scarpa Crux

Still early days in their lifespan, but first impressions are positive. A good. Fit and less ‘clumpy' than other Approach shoes I have used.

    Tough & comfy!

The Scarpa Crux have been an excellent buy. Strong and durable while being wasy to put on and comfortable to wear. Great buy.

    Comfy and supportive

Second pair of this style. Uppers and midsole well structured to support and cushion the foot. I found on the previous pair that the sole, though grippy, wears out over a couple of years. However, resoled with a vibram sole has meant the old shoes are still going well despite walking 5 miles a day over rough ground in them over 2020. If these new ones last the same I'll get at least eight years wear out of the two pairs.

    Great Every Days Shoes

These are my 3rd pair. That is how much I like them. Light trails, lanes and pavements are great with them.

    Great shoe

The scarpa crux is a really nice shoe. Instantly comfortable and suitable for most low level walks, scrambles and approaches. Also looks pretty good too. Highly recommended. Not waterproof but if you want that, buy a waterproof pair of shoes.
