Black Diamond Couloir

The Black Diamond Couloir is a fully featured technical harness that is lightweight and very packable and is extremely suitable for skiers, glacier walkers and big mountain climbers.

For a fully featured harness the Couloir packs down very small, about the size of an orange. So it can easily be stored in your pack or even a pocket. The lightness is achieved by using a breathable, low-profile vari-width Dynex monofilament webbing that’s ultralight and durable.

The harness an alpine style harness that can be put on when wearing crampons or skis. Adjustment is made with a single speed buckle on the waist and easy adjsut wings.

Other features of note are a patented Infinity Loop for belaying, which is durable, low profile, and eliminates belay-loop-shift when the belay loop seam catches. Four Ice Clipper slots pair with an integrated ice screw slot in each leg loop to reduce clanking during long approaches and flat glacier travel, and two webbing gear loops secure cordalettes, extra carabiners and other essential gear.

The Black Diamond Couloir for many years has been a popular choice for skiers, glacier walkers and big mountain climbers. This 2021 model only improves with the same features and now a much lighter construction.
