Red Chili Mystix

The Red Chili Mystix rock climbing shoe is a formidable, high performance shoe packed with proprietary design features and an excellent all-round fit. 

Providing an aggressive and pointed last, the Mystix can be placed extremely precisely at steep angles, facilitating the necessary pull even on the smallest, most stretched out footholds. In spite of its inclination toward steep ground, it also offers enough stability in the forefoot for situations when the shoe is required to take more weight- edging reliably, while retaining sensitivity on smears and slopes. In combination with a 3.5 mm thick Vibram XS-Grip outsole, this midsole achieves the duel properties of support and sensitivity, through a specially designed twin-zone (with varying rigidities) midsole.

Pre-tensioning of the upper optimally supports the foot and the Dual Tension Slingshot heel ensures the tensioning remains throughout the life of the shoe. The trick is in the slingshot, which is made from two rubber mixtures of differing degrees of hardness: softer black rubber adapts optimally to different foot shapes, the harder red rubber ensures a consistent, stable fit around the Achilles.
