Lake District Climbs (RockFax)

1 review   |

The Lake District Climbs is a guide providing comprehensive coverage of the excellent traditional climbing in the mountains and valleys of the English Lake District.

The Lakes offers a huge range and variety of climbing which is outstanding, from low-level single-pitch outcrop cragging to long multi-pitch mountain routes. The Lake District Climbs guide lists routes for climbers of all abilities from experts to those just starting out.

The book is packed with stunning photography to inspire, and the information is documented in the clear and concise format, with 1000 routes on 58 cliffs there is enough climbing described in Lake District Climbs to give the majority of climbers a lifetime of tremendous traditional climbing in a stunning environment. We're lucky to have these amazing climbs only 30 minutes away from our R+R HQ and can vouch for the quality of climbing in the area.

As an infrequent visitor to the Lakes I wanted something that would be easy to understand and be helpful in finding some of the targets on my wish list. This guide is all I had hoped for; its brilliant. The maps and diagrams are all supported by topos and the script is in a language people of all ages will understand. I wish all guides were as good as this. Congratulations to the production team; really great piece of work.
