The Scarpa Chimera is a top end, performance climbing shoe with a real downturned profile, perfect for hard bouldering and steep sport routes.
Built for climbers tackling the most demanding routes and boulders and arguably the most advanced rock climbing shoe ever made, the Scarpa Chimera has a brilliantly balanced design where sensitivity, support, power and usability hang in perfect equilibrium. Sensitive like the Drago, the Chimera also boasts increased edging prowess thanks to a TPS plastic midsole insert (rather than the softer Flexan insert used in the Drago and Furia). Overall fit is improved by the lacing system which when drawn in tight, give an unparalleled suction fit with no or minimal dead space.
PCB-Tensioning allows a minimalist ‘Power Connection Band’ to run along the base of the sole, and allows for excellent natural foot movement whilst holding the shape and form of the shoe when in use. The Chimera has a 3.5mm Vibram XS Grip2 two-piece sole unit and SRT randing system, which wraps sticky rubber (not rand rubber!) around the whole upper toe box giving perhaps the best toe-hooking of any shoe on the market. Finally, the heel is sensitive, close fitting and deep, whilst maintaining enough substance to protect the foot on uneven hooks and cams.
In summary, the Scarpa Chimera is the climbing shoe you'll want for tackling steep sport climbing routes and overhanging, hard bouldering problems.

These are pretty rad and don't make my feet want to die after 5 mins of wear. Great toe and heel action in these. Only down point is that the rubber is wearing down so fast on them already and I've only worn them about 5/6 times. Still great shoe.
Very sticky and aggressive shoe perfect for overhangs and slabs. Should have god a half size smaller as they will stretch a little bit. I am a 9.5 - 10 and bought a 9.5. Size 9 would have been a perfect fit.
