We have two videos for you lucky lot this week, our first is a little different from the usual. We follow Sophie, who has significant impairments but refuses to let that get in the way of achieving her goals.
Not only has she set herself the challenge of doing 30 new things before she turned 30. She also completed 30 climbs in 30 days with support from Climb LBG, to raise money for a local hospice. Check them out and give them a 'like', here.
Climb LBG is a Guernsey based Registered Charity that provides climbing, hill walking and mountaineering activities. They believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience these activities and to benefit from the positive impact they can have on physical, social and emotional well-being. They fully support and encourage participation of underrepresented groups.
After watching the video, we at Rock + Run felt we can all relate to Sophie in one way or another, and know that any mental block can be overcome with a bit of determination, grit and a goal to reach.
We have been getting to know Climb LBG recently, and really appreciate the work they do, along with countless other charities across the UK to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
We hope you feel like hitting the crag straight away after watching, just like we did!
Check out the video below of Sophie heading to the Channel Islands for her first climbing adventure.
