The DMM Mithril Harness is a versatile, performance orientated climbing harness, which is both lightweight and super comfy.
Designed for both summer rock climbing as well as winter mountaineering, the DMM Mithril Harness is a great all-rounder that focusses on active comfort and mobility. Its slick design offers fully adjustable leg loops with speed-lock buckles, ice clipper slots, 4 primary gear loops and one centrally positioned rear micro loop for versatile racking options.
Based on the Maverick 2, the Mithril uses a split micro webbing that provides great breathability, is light yet durable, and also allows for improved mobility whilst climbing, making it a great all-rounder for those that want a single harness for all of their climbing.

I've only managed one route (Tower Ridge) on the back of Ben Nevis since I bought the harness and it certainly puts my old one to shame. It fits like a glove and feels bomb proof and certainly stood up to some pretty serious gear attached to it and never missed a beat. What a great purchase
Excellent service from Rock and Run. I ordered a medium but when I tried it on I realised I needed a large as I wish to use it for winter mountaineering. The return and exchange went very smoothly and the harness fits perfectly
Due to lockdown not yet used, but I can say "This is a great all purpose harness".
I come to this one having used the beginners' kit Viper for so long. This certainly seems a lighter harness with all parts narrower. I've not had chance to try hanging in it yet (or falling!) so see how comfortable it is. Maybe with Brimham Rocks now open this will change! The padding looks like it should breath. Testing will tell. As Dean mentions in his review, the belay loop will not sit central to the back support unless you happen to have exactly the right waist size. Where the back support on the Viper can be moved around to center it, this one is sewn into position. I'm hoping that over thinner climbing clothing and once able to get more exercise! mine will be more central than it is. This may be why the waist size range specified on these is only 10cm. The Medium centers on 33" and the large on 36". There is room for sideways movement of they belay loop in its slot. The tie in loops have the extra reinforcement on the wear surfaces that the Viper has.
Not used as yet, Covid etc. But it replaces my exising DMM harness, which was due for renewal. It looks and feels the business, and I am pleased with the auto-lock buckle. At the price a real snip.
