Minor improvements have been made to the Edelrid Cable Kit Lite to make it even greater than before. The 6.0 version looks and feels like the classic and small Via Ferrata kit we've come to know and love, but it also meets the most recent European safety regulations, decreasing impact forces by up to 30% and making it safer than ever. The most visible difference is that Edelrid has managed to cut the overall weight and reduce the size of the shock absorber by half, making it one of the smallest and lightest on the market with less restriction and more flexibility of movement.
Featuring the "One-Touch II" carabiner system that prevents fingers from getting pinched between the carabiner gate and the steel cables, the Cable Kit lite 6.0 also has wear-resistant, elasticated webbing that ensures durability and a secure and comfortable Via Ferrata experience.
Inside the shock absorber, there is a care label with clear instructions on how to inspect the device to ensure it is safe to use. There is also a warning marker that can be clearly identified by a red thread. If a substantial amount of stress has been put on the kit, the red thread will show through and you should retire the kit.
