Deuter Freescape Pro 40+

The Freescape Pro is an ISPO gold award-winning pack for adventurous ski mountaineers who require a full-featured, lightweight winter pack to keep all of their essentials close at hand when hitting the slopes, climbing steep, icy terrain.

This fully-featured pack has a reinforced compartment dedicated to all your avalanche equipment, conveniently placed on the front of the pack, with a wide-aperture opening for quick, easy access in the event of an emergency. 

There is a secure, detachable helmet holder that can be stashed inside when not in use. A hanging zipper pocket can be found with fleece lining to store and protect your goggles.

The outer shell is made from highly durable, snow resistant fabric to withstand heavy wear from your gear being strapped to it. The main fabric is constructed from 100% recycled bluesign®-certified materials. The zippers are also water-resistant. There are also various attachment options for skis, a snowboard or crampons thanks to two modular gear straps.

A secondary side zip-up pocket can be found to store all your valuables for easy access. On the opposite side, a cellphone can be securely stored in a zip-up pouch to keep it separate from your avalanche beacon meaning you'll avoid any signal interference.

Alpine Back System

The mix of comfort, durability, practicality, and low weight is critical for alpine backpacks. With its two flexible soft stripe back cushions that are ideally fitted to the anatomy and follow the wearer's movements, Deuter's Alpine System responds to this problem by focusing on a small, secure yet pleasant fit. This, combined with the pack's slim profile, puts the weight close to the centre of gravity, ensuring complete pack control.

The Alpine back combines a snug, compact fit for complete pack control and full focus on the terrain with excellent carrying performance and comfortable ventilation between the two soft stripe back pads.
