Whether it's high intensity via ferrata or hiking excursions in wild mountain environments La Sportiva's Trango Tech Leather Gore-tex is the perfect lightweight, waterproof mountaineering boot. This versatile piece of footwear offers technical functionality and comfort and is ideal for technical approach routes, mountain guides, rescuers and alpinists.

The uppers offer a clean and modern design, constructed from a single piece of leather - with seams reduced to a minimum to increase the overall waterproofing. It is a product with excellent durability thanks to the use of high quality leather and protective microfiber on the uppers. The shock absorbing polyurethane, low density midsole with protective PU-Skin reduces the impact with the ground and promotes prolonged use of the product while the shock absorbing rubber protection at the toe and heel prevent impacts with rocks and roots.

Like all products in the La Sportive Trango series, the boot adopts the 3D-Flex System that promotes mobility and dynamic support. The tongue integrated in the uppers is made of soft, stretch fabric for maximum comfort, enhanced by the ergonomic shape and snug fit. The La Sportiva Cube sole by Vibram with a lower volume, allows to further reduced the weight for a light and modern backpacking boot.

Mountain boots

I brought the wrong size so we are waiting for the correct size to come in but we are so impressed with the customer service we have received so far

Super light, very comfortable if you have narrower heels and wider forefoot like me. Not stiff.

Don't let crampon bails fool you, these are not for climbing but are super comfy on longer walks. I would say they are a B0.75, not quite a B1. Not as stiff as my Meindl Bhutans, but much more comfortable. Lacing system is great, you can make the upper and lower sections different tightnesses, and they are super light!

Great boots but awkward sizing

I have worn various La Sportiva boots for many years. These new boots are comfortable, lightweight and feel as the heel/sole is lower than earlier boots- and of course, look fantastic. They do not get 5 stars as i found that my usual 45.5 size was too tight and the 46 is a little too long. So a strong recommenadation but check that the sizing/last shape is good for you.

Perfect for walking and easy climbing from Autumn through to Spring

If you enjoy the wet walking and slushfest we call winter; these boots, if they fit your shape of foot, are Brilliant with a capital B. They tick all the boxes. Light, relatively stiff sole, certainly OK for up to Grade Two ground in Winter, warm and waterproof. Cannot fault them.
